Cem-Pozz  – Highly Reactive Pozzolan

1. Cem-Pozz NG is a highly reactive Pozzolan that meets ASTM 989 testing requirements for grade 80 and grade 100 slag with the chemistry of a ASTM C618 Class F fly ash.
2. Cem-Pozz NG is approved by TxDOT under Special Provisions as a Modified Class F Fly Ash allowing usage of up to 50 percent by volume and has been used in over 500,000 cu yds of TxDOT regulated paving.

Cem-Pozz NG offers a cost competitive product that:

1. Produces concrete that has improved durability. Reasons include:
   • Improved particle size distribution
   • Improved chemistry of the concrete binder
   • Reduced alkali-silica reactivity
   • Passes ASTM 2012 (sulfate resistant)
   • Reduced delayed ettringite formation
   • Reduced exposure to moisture (less porous)
   • Remediates ASR (Alkali Silica Reactivity)
     
     
2. Reduces shrinkage cracks in concrete. Reasons include:
   • Reduced bleed channels that trap water and slow shrinkage (slow curing)
   • Improved early strength
   • Reduction in calcium hydroxide
   • Reduced water demand
     
     
3. Improves workability, pumpability, and finishing. Reasons include:
   • Spherical shape of particles
   • Reduced water demand

Cem-Pozz NG is the only supplementary cementitious material that is “green” and can replace 50% or higher of Portland cement depending on mix designs and performance criteria.
