About Us

Texas EMC Products, Ltd. (Texas EMC) produces an activated Pozzolan with the trade name Cem-Pozz. This activated pozzolan is produced through a patented process involving high energetic grinding of pozzolans (fly ash) with small additions of Portland cement. In the process, the materials are exposed to high-energy impacts that create submicrocracks in the particle surfaces, deform the particles, activate the surfaces, expand the particle surface area and increase the chemical reactivity of the materials. Control of particle size activation is a fundamental part of EMC technology that was developed and patented in Sweden in the 1990’s.

In 2003 after intensive and successful pilot testing of Cem-Pozz, Few Ready Mix Concrete and EMC Cement BV, a Dutch corporation, established a joint venture: Texas EMC Products which owns exclusive rights for usage of EMC technology in Texas.

Texas EMC’s Limestone plant for the production of Cem-Pozz NG:

  1. was constructed in September 2004 and has now reached the designed capacity
  2. is located adjacent to Texas Genco’s Limestone Power Plant near Jewett, TX
  3. has a production capacity of about 300,000 tons per year. The plant’s scalable design will make it possible to ramp up production according to market demand.
  4. is owned and operated by Texas EMC Products, Ltd. which was a joint venture between Few Ready Mix Concrete Co, a Texas corporation, and EMC Cement BV, a Dutch corporation. Texas EMC Products, Ltd. has the exclusive license to use the patented EMC technology in Texas.
  5. is located within economical trucking distance to Houston, Dallas-Ft. Worth, and Austin markets.
